Questions
How does it tell which AI tool made a picture?
It reads the labels AI tools add: signed Content Credentials (used by ChatGPT, Sora, Gemini, Adobe Firefly, Microsoft and others), IPTC “made with AI” tags (Midjourney, Meta AI, Google), and settings saved by Stable Diffusion, ComfyUI and similar apps. If those labels were removed, for example by a screenshot or a social media upload, it cannot tell. Claude does not create images, so there is no Claude marker to find.
Are my files uploaded?
No. All the code runs inside this page, in your browser. No file, file name or result is sent to this website or anywhere else. You can disconnect from the internet after the page loads and it keeps working.
Can a photo show where I live?
Often. Phones write GPS coordinates into every photo unless location is switched off for the camera, and they are usually accurate to a few metres. Check the Location count before you post a photo taken at home.
How many files can I add?
As many as your device can handle. Files are processed one after another, so a big batch simply takes a little longer. Very large videos work too, because only the small metadata part is read into memory.
What is EXIF?
EXIF is the block of data cameras and phones write into every photo: the camera model, lens, exposure, the date and time, and often the GPS position. It is one kind of metadata; documents, audio and video have their own.
