How do I remove 20% VAT from a price?
Divide by 1.2. For example £120 including VAT is £100 before VAT and £20 VAT. Choose Remove VAT and the calculator does it for you.
Why not just take 20% off?
Because VAT was added to the net price, not the total. Taking 20% off £120 gives £96, which is wrong.
